Study inspects ordinary hair loss in men without proof of baldness

The men brushed their hair this way and then counted hairs outbuilding for 3 consecutive days. This procedure was repeated in eligible participators 6 months later. Partakers age twenty thru 40 outbuilding zero to 78 hairs, with a mean loss of 10.2 hairs per 60-second test. Men age 41 to 60 outbuilding zero to 43 hairs, with a median loss of 10.3 hairs per 60-second test. Results were consistent on consecutive days for all players. 'When repeated 6 months later in both age groups, the hair counts did not change much. 'Low intrapatient variability demonstrates that trustworthy results over an extended period of time are obtainable. The likeness between investigator and subject hair counts indicates that patients can reliably count hairs. 'Studies of the 60-second hair count in ordinary girls and in the setting of hair illness still have to be performed. '. |
