You must get your long hair cut and give it to the Locks of Love Foundation. We applaud your brilliant and selfless concept, and so do the stylists at Avant Salon and Spa, who on August twenty-one, from ten am to seven p.m, will be taking hair donations for the foundation. Locks of Love is a nonprofit organization that provides hairpieces to youngsters in need who have long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. And Barnum & Bailey Circus, which presents "Bellobration" at the Erwin Center on August 20-24. Taste and savings are cut from same cloth. We are not pronouncing that cloth napkins will magically make your meals more genteel - but it's a step in the right direction. And, oh yep, you will not use as many paper towels or napkins, which implies you will economize and some of those oxygenating trees we all like so much. Who does not enjoy the thrill of fresh bling and baubles? Urban Posh, an Austin-based jewellery line, will be on show at J Crew's sister store, Madewell, at the Domain ( 11501 Century Oaks Patio , 821-1593. August twenty-one, and will include a DJ and cocktails. Urban Posh, set up by Jeanne Kirkland in 2004, will form a charm bar so guests can make their own necklaces. People who buy $100 in Madewell merchandise will get an Urban Posh necklace.
