Mouse Study Uncovers Molecule That Tells Hair to Grow.

Thu. , July 31 ( HealthDay Reports ) -- Scientists have taken a step forward in understanding the mechanisms behind an issue which has bedeviled several men, and some girls, for all of history : hair loss. These are really complicated molecular signals, and the writers have splendidly shown that there is one molecule, laminins 511, that may be a critical signal to inform the hair molecule to move thru the method. In mice, laminin-511 convinced hair to expand at the equivalent of approximately the eighth month of pregnancy, but Marinkovich and his comrades are hoping it'd also work later in the life cycle.
