Disabled girl ordered out of bowling alley 7:50am Mon. 18th Aug 2008. Employees at a Feltham bowling alley ordered a disabled girl afflicted by hair loss to leave " as she was wearing a baseball cap. Claire Randalls, thirty, was enjoying a family day out at Tenpin last Sat. with her hubby and two-year-old child when a security guard told her she could not wear the hat due to its policy against yob behaviour. The family were also out with Mrs Randalls mother-in-law, sister-in-law and 2 youthful youngsters, and had been bowling for an hour before they were approached. They exclaimed they were frightened when workers at the Leisure West complicated in Browells Lane demanded Mrs Randalls removed the cap or turn it backwards so security could see her face. Mrs Randalls, a previous HGV driver from Loxwood Close, Bedfont, suffered hair loss after she was treated with steroids following surgery for ulcerative colitis during pregnancy. She was on a life-support machine for 8 weeks and lost the baby. Her angered mum Sue French, fifty, recounted : She explained this to the chief, the helper executive and to the bouncer who originally asked her, and they continue to removed her. They announced they wanted to see her face due to the difficulty they'd in there. She's a 30-year-old girl not a youthful hoodie. Certainly this kind of thing should be at the executives discretion.. Julie Chorley, from Tenpin, declared : Obviously this could be a terribly unlucky situation and we've each sympathy with Mrs Randalls situation and admire the way she is overcoming her grief. When asking for that her baseball cap was removed, it was explained the policy was stated on the front doorways of the building. When she suggested us of her medical situation ( which wasn't visually

plain ) a compromise of turning her cap around so that her face was plain was offered. Tenpin prides itself on the secure environment we offer for families and frequently liaise with the local police in our endeavour to maintain extreme levels of safety. This policy was implemented following an event with kids whose identity wasn't revealed, notwithstanding CCTV photographs, due to their faces being obscured by baseball caps..
