'Caring' East Longmeadow teenager grows hair for cancer survivors.

"My mom was assessed with cancer when I was in 1st grade ; it was difficult on our entire family" Cokotis recounted this week.
She recollects seeing her mum go thru the agony of sickness and hair loss. That was why she made a decision last year to start growing her hair so that she could give it. "A lady's hair is truly critical to her, and after seeing my mom lose hers, I needed to give somebody an opportunity to get a wig" asserted the girl. Cokotis grew her hair out for close to 2 years before having it cut by Ginny Lemoine at her home salon in Hampden. She investigated wig-making associations, and made a decision to go with Pantene's Pretty Lengths campaign. "I selected them as they particularly make wigs for breast-cancer patients" she claimed. Cokotis's ma, Nancy J Cokotis of East Longmeadow, was "deeply touched" by her child's call. " ( My cancer ) was tricky for the total family" she revealed, "but I was lucky enough to get a handsome wig to wear in that time, and I suspect that might be a part of what galvanized Jennifer to do that. For any cancer survivor, having a wig that looks natural and gorgeous helps her feel and look good.". Besides giving her hair, Jennifer has been active with Rays of Hope for many years, serving as co-captain of her mum's "Hope Everlasting" group. "She is simply a deeply caring person" Cokotis asserted. Jennifer asserted she is always trying to find methods to support associations that help cancer patients. She's considering growing her hair out again. "I will certainly think about doing it all over again if it suggests a patient can get a pleasant wig.".
